Eastern Body Western Mind by Anodea Judith is surprisingly an amazing book for any parent to read. This book helps you to take a closer look at your own childhood and how mental and emotional and psychological development affects you today as a parent.
This book also helps to illuminate how the developmental process happens from the time in the womb (root chakra) all the way to leaving the nest (crown chakra) and then redeveloping it all over again when we leave the nest.
Even if you aren’t a parent, this book is for you. Help discover more about the deep recesses of your mind.
Activities for you and your kids
Of course I wouldn’t be doing myself any justice without recommending coloring as a mindfulness practice! I have a couple to choose from.
Animal Fun is a great kids coloring book that you can enjoy with your young children. Bond with them as you color these cute animals, learn to spell and challenge with games! There are mazes, sudoku and word searches for you to bond over.
